The Orange Rooms held a Battle of the Bartenders competition on Thursday night. Throwing bottles around and that. Would put Tom Cruise and Bryan Brown to shame.

We're supposedly expecting two months' worth of rain in the next 24 hours. I saw this guy sheltering in his car.

At the wedding at Lainston House on Sunday the groom arrived in a helicopter. Snazzy. Separately, I'm trying to persuade Becky that we should call our new dog Lainston. Or failing that, Vernon or Derek.

Georgie & Nick tied the knot in great style on Saturday. A perfect English wedding with top hats and everything.More.

The vaults underneath Southampton's medieval walls are being opened up this summer to host artwork by 'leading contemporary artists'. It's also a chance for the public to see the vaults themselves which are otherwise locked up and unused. I had a sneak-peek on Thursday night at Laurence Chalk's untitled installation in the Castle Vault.

Rob & Emms don't update their blog as often as they should so I'm not sure where they are. Somewhere in Southeast Asia, I think. This is from my last trip there - Chau Doc on the Mekong Delta.

Beck and I were in Spain at Easter. Highlights were Barcelona and seeing Howard & Su in Madrid. The main downside was a week of rain while the UK baked in a heatwave.

Prom season is in full swing, which means chaos on the roads as 16-year-olds go mad in limos and double-decker buses. I was talking to one of the mums who said she'd paid a thousand quid (!) for her son to get to the Novotel in a horse and cart. Expensive taxi.

I was in the pit at the Guildhall on Friday night to watch The Hoosiers, The Twang and Travis at Power Amped 3. More.

[B]Eastleigh is proud of its historical association with the Spitfire. The local mayor laid a wreath recently to commemorate the anniversary of the death of its inventor.

Out of nine Glasonburys, I think 2007 was my best yet. Not sure how, but it seems just to get better and better, and the mud doesn't diminish the fun in the slightest. Photos here.

I've been out of action and have got quite a backlog to clear...
Flavia Cacace and Vincent Simone dropped by a while ago for some Argenine Tango.
